companies immeasurable holdings in the US. On December.10, 2004, Ameriquest Mortgage Company stated their
plans to open a 25,000 square foot facility within Douglas
County, Colorado. The new data center will create more than
125 technology-related jobs, as well as, offer the area the
aesthetic benefits of a new state-of the art facility. Upon completion, this new data center, the third for the company
and its first beyond California state lines, will house Ameriquest
and its affiliates of Argent Mortgage Company, as well as,
AMC Mortgage Services which supports both Ameriquest and Argent’s
activities. Adam Bass, senior executive vice president of Ameriquest Mortgage
Company said that they have selected Colorado as the site
of their data facility because it offered access to an incredibly
skilled work force of engineers, network professional, systems
analystas and IT operators. Plus, as the state of Colorado
is considered within the central portion of the US, it can
serve as a mid-point for national growth. In turn, Brian Vogt, director of Colorado’s Office of
Economic Development and International Trade relayed that
he saw this development as paramount for the growth of jobs
within the state and for a future relationship with Ameriquest
as they continue to grow in leaps and bounds. At the present time, Ameriquest now has approximately 200
local employees emanating from its five branch offices located
in: Colorado Springs, Denver, Fort Collins, Greenwood Village
and Westminster. Many from the Douglas and South Metro Denver Business communities
were excited about the possibilities presented by Ameriquest’s
arrival to the area, the favorable impact it would have upon
the economy and the positive message it would send to companies
seeking to come to the area in the future. Colorado officials
and business development executives also expressed their hope
for the longevity of Ameriquest’s occupancy.
